1)      Witness the architectural genius at the Bada and Chhota Imambara: Bada Imambara is nothing less than an architectural genius. Build in 1784, the structure is both beautiful and mighty. It has religious importance for Muslims and every year devotees flock here during Muharram. It also features a hall which is over 50 meters long and is known to be the largest arched hall and unsupported structure. It also houses the Asifi Mosque and Shahi Bauli. On the other hand, the Chhota Imambara is a white textured structure with a mosaic of green patterns. The colourful lamps and chandeliers inside the structure bring in the colours as the sun shines bright on them. Inside the complex rests the tomb of Muhammad Ali Shah and his family.

2)      Visit the British Residency: The British Residency is a standing tall proof of the atrocities that India had to face because of the British colonial rule. On your visit here, you can see the bullets marks on the walls of this monument which used to serve as the residence of the British Resident General. 3)      Rumi Darwaza: This is a centrally located 60 feet gate located in the heart of Lucknow. The gate is famed because of the intricate carvings on it and the architectural expertise with which it was built. The gate has close resemblance with the entrance gate in Istanbul.
